Rev. Joey McDonald was born in Lumberton, North Carolina, and raised in Dillon County, South Carolina. He attended Latta High School and the University of South Carolina before earning his Master of Divinity from Erskine Theological Seminary.

Rev. Joey McDonald was born in Lumberton, North Carolina, and raised in Dillon County, South Carolina. He attended Latta High School and the University of South Carolina before earning his Master of Divinity from Erskine Theological Seminary.
He has served in ministry across South Carolina for over 25 years, including four pastoral appointments and four years as Superintendent of the Walterboro District. Today, he serves as Senior Pastor of Saint George Methodist Church.
Joey is married to Rev. Mickaylla McDonald, and together they have five sons and three grandchildren. He enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors.

Rebecca Crook has been a lifelong member of Saint George Methodist Church, actively involved since the late 1970s. She and her husband, Chad, were married in the church in 1994, and their twin daughters were also raised and baptized here.
Rebecca has spent over 30 years in special education and currently teaches in the Beaufort County School District. She brings that same love for children into her role as Director of Children’s Ministries, where she is passionate about helping kids learn the Bible, grow in their faith, and build a strong foundation for life.
